I don’t know if you’re being sarcastic or not, but we shouldn’t excuse harassment from either side, which includes the hateful comments from the developers. Sadly, they weren’t covered in this article, so I’d recommend reading up.

With how much of the story these 'journalists' are missing, it makes you wonder how many are in Epic's pocket. 

It makes you consider their integrity. If Epic has been paying millions for exclusivity, how much money do you think has spent on favorable articles from these "journalists"? 

Nothing. Nothing at all. So we shouldn't justify the harassment coming from those developers. 

Have you seen the developer's comments? People were already treated that way. 

Do you hate people in 3rd world countries that much? Please keep your xenophobic comments to yourself. 

When the developers attack the gamers, the gamers are "sensitive". When the gamers attacked the developers, the gamers are hateful. Why the double standard? 

This coverage is incredibly one-sided. We shouldn't condone harassment from anyone, and that should include the developers. Their hateful language and insulting rhetoric shouldn't be given a free pass. They should be admonished just like the people harassing them. 

Btw Nathan, why not cover the disparaging comments that the developers have been making? 

I feel like this move is dating the lifespan of their group. When you choose a quick buck over a larger player base, you are limiting growth potential in the future. But I guess they don't care much about sharing their game with as many players as possible. Another example of profit over passion. 

So you are claiming that one cannot dislike EGS without harassing developers? And that you have to be male? Can you live without attacking others? This may be the internet, but you can treat people with civility and respect. 

That is exactly how streamers are, and it is sickening. Most parents aren’t aware that on the fortnite video that their kid is watching is an adult asking for subs, donations, and patrons. If you ever watch a big stream, you’ll often see donations from kids that “borrowed” their parents’ credit cards.

If they were to have a tip jar and collect money from those children, then the answer is a definite yes.

Honestly, my big issue with these streamers is that they are predatory towards kids. The majority of those who will be drawn in by cleavage aren’t grown adults, but likely those in elementary and middle school. These women aren’t sluts, but rather douchebags.

I agree with you. As a muslim in the US, I strongly value freedom of speech, even if it is to protect the speech of those who hate me (such as the alt-right). Where is this data? Can you show me? Everytime I ask this question, people have nothing to show. I'll be convinced that this issue is overblown by sensationalist journalists and a small minority of fans in the meantime.

I haven’t heard of this until the kotaku articles. Anecdotal, but I’ve been playing my Switch near daily since day one and haven’t encountered this, nor have any of my friends talked about it. Isn’t this just being blown out of proportion? Is there any data to back these claims? 

Minor revisions always get new SKUs. Heck, everytime a console gets bundled with a new game, that gets a new SKU.
