Both are 4 vs monster. Both involve hunting for a monster and coordinating to attack it. They are pretty damn similar. So yes, Evolve is a crappy monster hunter.

I do, and I also understanding what bullsh!t on the internet is. There is no 'confirmed hardware defect'.

So either one of two things. One, you are super unlucky. Two, they were in fact mishandled. Either way, it doesn't apply to more than 1%. Your own past experiences are clouding your perspective.

It hasn't years later, and I had the pleasure of easily transferring them, including my old ambassador games from my original 3ds, to my new 3ds xl.

Well, it has none of the good qualities of monster hunter if that is what you are saying. While I'm not exactly an expert on Evolve, I did play a good 4 hours in the alpha. Unless you are saying that the full game will be drastically different, it will still be considered a crappy western FPS monster hunter to me.

Y'know, when I played the Evolve alpha, to me it was just a crappy western FPS monster hunter.

We've seen 3 towns so far. And why would we want them to show us dungeons or story? For what reason would they spoil their own game?

Then wait for the sequel. Final Fantasy hasn't been turned based in literally a decade. And all for the better.

To be honest, I'm in the camp of let them take as long as they want. Let them make the best game that they can. It isn't like there aren't other games we can be playing in the meantime. Be sure to actually watch the combat. It definitely looks awesome. I especially liked that finishing blow where he teleported high into the air only to come down fast with a spear.
