Gas ovens locate the burner below the oven... hence the space below the oven (and directly below the burner) could be used as a broiler or warming drawer, depending on whether there is any separation of the burner from the drawer.

They come both ways - but really it can’t be called a warming drawer unless it has it’s own heating element and controls.

A “warming drawer” is not that. Your confused with an older gas stove where the pilot was at the bottom that also had either a broiler or a storage drawer in the lower compartment. A pilot should only burn high enough to keep the flame - not burn high or hot enough to hold hot food temps. If it’s keeping hot food hot…

Yep. That’s where the broiler is in my current (shitty) oven.

Mine’s a broiler. If I put something already cooked in there to warm it, it would be completely ruined in minutes.

It’s probably a broiler, most older ovens I’ve seen have broilers down there.

Like Anna said, we’ve all read too many thrillers and seen too many movies like this and yet, it’s still difficult to believe that all those movies you’ve seen about a Manchurian Candidate is now real life.
