Found out from a friend that apparently the people who live on these street have an X-Files street party every spring! How awesome is that?

This is in my city!! Wooo Ottawa!

"excitement," "plateau," "orgasm" and "resolution"

Cheese makes me happier than the gym ever has. Cheese is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. Why else would it be so damn delicious?

I take myself out to dinner and a movie all the time, usually on a Friday or Saturday night. I love eating out, and I'm not going to let the fact that my friends are busy, or I'm not currently attached, keep me from having a fun night out. I feel like I get much weirder looks from people as a woman however, than any

I was having a dry spell book-wise, just not knowing what to read next. Her books have gotten me right back into my usual voracious reading level. I'll be sad when I'm done.

I'd look pretty cranky if I had to wear that ugly-ass dress too.

That would be a no. Probably because I get zero endorphins from exercise, so it's just a slog to get through. Also, I find myself bored out of my skull the entire time I'm at the gym, or taking a class, so it's hard to convince myself to go. My lack of response to the threat of puritanical punishment/ shaming probably

Yes, thank you! What is wrong with wanting to look and be average? The obsessive gym-rats who look ridiculously pumped are what make many people intimidated to go there when they're just starting.

Oh yeah, I definitely remember reading some really rapey Virginia Henley stuff I got at the library as a teen. The genre has greatly improved since then. Still sexy, but with more appeal to the modern thinking woman.

I learned about fisting from one of the first romance novels I read - a Harlequin Historical no less. And this was back in the 90's. Quite eye-opening to my 14 year old self.

It all works out in the wash for me when I'm travelling to the States anyways, because I find as a general rule, restaurant prices there are way cheaper than at home. I've seen a steak dinner for $25 in the US, where that would be at least $35-40 at home at a comparable chain-type restaurant. I don't mind tipping more

Good to know. Servers are actually paid a minimum of almost $9/hr in the province I live in, so that's probably why we have a lower standard tipping rate. I'm not saying the 5% is going to break the bank for me, but when it's force of habit to do the 15% math, it's just something to remind myself of.

Same thing happened to me the first time I went to NYC and we were all really confused. I think it's just really prevalent in Canada, that most times I don't even have to give prior notice to the server, they just automatically ask if we're doing seperate bills.

Honest question: Is a 20% tip the average amount in the US? I see this amount keep coming up on Kitchenette. In Canada the standard is 15% and 20% is for exceptional service. However, when I go down to the States for shopping/tourism, I don't want to be stiffing my server, so I really want to know what to do.

Eastern Europe ancestors represent! Seriously though, take dark curly Polish hair and porcelain Irish skin - recipe for unwanted hair disaster. I literally sit in traffic some days and feel for beard. Too bad overplucking those doesn't seem to be doing shit at stopping them from growing back.

Yay! A good news to come out of my hometown! So rare when the majority of our local news is about dickweasel politicians.

YES! I have no idea how to set my thermostat which runs in Fahrenheit. I end up having to call my dad to ask him what would be a reasonable number to program it to everytime the seasons change. I only know my height in cm because everytime I go to get my license or health card, or even my ID pass at work renewed, they

I simply expect that when my doctor prescribes me a medication that is tested and approved, be it as used as birth control or as hormonal therapy for my PCOS, that the insurance company pays for it. It is part of my compensation package and it is between myself and my medical professional to determine which course of

And how does Viagra maintain your health? It's covered by health insurance but birth control is not.
