As a vehicle, these things are CP for anything more than “cheap daily” money. They get pretty bad MPG(Touareg and V6 Grand Cherokee levels of bad), can’t tow, and aren’t that quick. That doesn’t even account for the personal stuff like interior and exterior design.

Light crossover? Only in capabilities, this porker weighs 4,400lbs, or 200 more than an X3.

Right? E6xs with M-sport are beautiful.

They moved production to Regensburg starting with the E89. A lot of the 2DR cars come out of there now.

Lol, no they drilled holes in the bumper for the plate.

I was in the fuckboi plate club not long ago. Stupid first owner really screwed up drilling the holes and I wasn’t about drilling more.

Interesting that GM compared it to the 3.0L M44 and didn’t end up putting a balance shaft in. If it made a 3.0L I4 smooth as butter, I can’t even imagine how creamy the quad four might have been. You’re probably right though, GM penny pinching always seems to win out.

Never driven a 928, but my S2 runs like top and it’s a wonderful machine to drive. My dad’s 968 is even better. The 3.0L powerband and smoothness are just as good as any L6 BMW I’ve owned or driven. The only time you notice it’s a big 4cyl is right after a cold start. It handles like a dream, and it’s comfy. I can’t

Unless you’re looking for a Turbo or S2. Which are just about as expensive as a 968 these days.

They drive exactly like the 944s. Just faster. My dad has a 968 cab, and it feels just like my S2, minus some rigidity.

The parking lot outside (large tech company) has SDs everywhere. Wonder what we’re building. I’m just gonna with because Texas.

I love it on mine. Full gauges unlike some other SUVs at the time. Easy to read, and a real oil pressure gauge. Only odd thing is when the tach occasionally jumps about 500rpm right after it goes through 3k, just old Jeep stuff I guess.

I go back and forth. I traded my E92 for a TDI buyback after I bought my Porsche and have this cluster. Some thoughts: I hate bright white backlighting with a passion, even at the lowest setting it’s distracting at night. The red needles do look nice dancing around though. The screen is bigger than my E92, but it’s

I’m voting for the oval-dashed 944s. Classic VDO design. Very visible, very few indicator lights. The tach looks glorious as the 3.0L pushes past 4K and heads to redline. Even better if you have a Turbo so the boost gauge bounces around. Too bad the odometer breaks so frequently.

The late transaxles are great cars. They imported far less S2 and 968s than most any other similar vintage Porsche outside of the insanely low run 911 versions. It’s going to end up being the same situation as the 912 and 914 at some point. Who know how long it will take though.

I spent a year on there (and every other site available) locating my new weekend car. It is really crazy how many M3s are on BaT at any given time and how much money they go for. Everyone bitches about Porsche prices, but M, or even normal E30/36/39/46 prices aren’t much better. I considered a ZHP or convertible M3

I’d agree, if it had records it would be worth more. If you’re diligent you can get a much better deal than this with records. It took me a year to find my S2 coupe.

“I don’t drive hard enough to experience the chassis flex a cabriolet must suffer”

I’m on the fence. I chose a S2 over a 996, Boxster, or M3 so it isn’t that it’s not a “real Porsche”. This is a nice example, I adore my S2.
