Hilarious.
Hilarious.
I just watched Lost for the first time, and the internet was obsessed with travel times. I think it's the same people.
So I agree. I think they're rushing to finish now, and they are constrained by the schedule. I also think without the source material, some of the dialogue suffered. These things can't be helped, but I think the show suffered for them nonetheless.
I guess it's either 1) She has lost her humanity with their deaths and wants the world to burn with her pain, or 2) "Love of her children" was an excuse to legitimize her grabs for power. She did it through them, and when the died, she did it herself.
YES!!! It makes no sense. Unless she received the power only after she killed the waif. But if that's the case, it should have been written more clearly.
I think that the "blessing" could have been clearer. I'm really disappointed by how poorly they constructed her story in the back half of the season. I was so busy trying to figure out why she was allowed to use the faces, I couldn't even enjoy the Fray revenge properly.
Do you know what the money from the assassinations was used for? Or if there was any vetting process for who they assassinated?
I am often befuddled that the people on this show don't record every conversation that they are having. But if we must accept that no one in Shondaland owns an audio recorder, I don't think the writers should ever be allowed to use recorders as a plot device.
Your history is off a bit. I think it was Green Child vs. Bad Pussy. Green Child turned Bad Pussy into a white walker and Bad Pussy whispered naughty things into the ears of the undead for eternity.
Oh god. Perfect.
My first thought was that it was going to turn into a High Sparrow situation. I liked the irony of Tyrion making the same mistakes as Cersei across the Narrow Sea. But then I thought it interesting that this Red Priestess was for Dany while the other Red Priestess is for Jon. Is one of them right? Are they both right?…
I'm going to go ahead and say it….. Bran's tree-time storyline was more poorly constructed than Dorne.
I was turned off by other aspects of that scene (like nobody noticing hundreds of ships sail away), but you're right. I never truly understood "what is dead can never die" until I saw those hardcore badasses drown their king and hope for his undeath.
Perhaps the pacing of the show forced Arya to backslide soon after attaining no-one-ness. That still leaves our options at poor pacing (too fast to make the backslide matter) or the one god is a buffoon.
Did you understand it while watching? I did not and I'm kind of embarrassed about it.
Joshua Alston writing about a show he loves (Leftovers) is poetry. Joshua Alston writing about a show he hates (Scandal) is poetry. Basically, I'll read him hating something, loving something, and everything in between. I would miss his reviews, but I can't bring myself to watch another season of this show…
Hahahahha. Who knew Empire was the best sci-fi show on TV right now? As far as the season finale goes, I care more about those sunglasses than Jamal.
I wasn't sure if Littlefinger knowingly gave Sansa to a sociopath, but after this episode I feel more confident saying he did. I need to know so I can disseminate my hate appropriately. What does everyone else think?
I think it was worth it for the apple flaying comment.
Whoa. Cool.
