Online storefronts usually take a pretty significant chunk for hosting games, some up to a 1/3rd. That’s why companies like Bethesda and ea and ubisoft started running their own vs going through steam.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Pony Island was great, didn’t know the dev’s were working on something new. From the write up and vids I’m going to jump in.

Haha all the great pic’s made it hard to get to the comments! All the same this stuff is great, really dug the 1st Bowsette, Fem Colossus and  Scourge and Hela. Everyone involved rocked though!

Yeah didn’t mean it as a dig against McCain, I just literally remember from that training video (it was a intro to ship fire fighting) them mentioning his name.

Yeah, I remember watching that video in boot camp. Wasn’t it John McCain’s jet which malfunctioned and fired?

Yah, I don’t really hold platform loyalty when it comes to where I purchase my pc games. I do like the integrated community features offered by Steam that seem to be lacking on other platforms. The ability to go to discussions, reviews, guides or community art right from game launch link is nice when it comes to

I used to like getting the Heka chests, a quest a day seemed right and I never considered spending any real money on them.

Just a side note, I work in data analytics and even I feel like 80% of the job is bullshit.

A solid aqcuisition by MS if true. Would be really smart of them to have the PC side allowed to distribute on steam also. The community behind the Pillars games remains strong on that platform.

I’m pretty sure Next Gen was where I first discovered the “Ultra 64" and had my mind blown about what was possible in a game.

Not only that but they are still trying to cover for him!

Man,

This article didn’t really hit on the substance of today’s vote very well I think. From my understanding this was a vote to end the current investigation and proceed to decide to confirm or deny.

THQ Nordic loves buying fractured and ailing franchises!

While I mostly agree, to the detriment of picking it up is jumping into some else’s half completed project is usually best done when the people turning over the code are there to provide technical support not just for code level stuff but in process flow and general design logic. With most of TT employees in the wind,

Oah oah, I think I get it, maybe it’s anytime DirectX is accessed. Even controllers go through it for deciding if xinput or other modes.

Not sure, but Windows notifies now with any game I launch that gaming mode is engaged. I would think it could be whenever a game accesses gpu resources but I’ve seen it in 2d games which may not be calling on gpu at all. Maybe older games won’t activate it and it’s some sort of profile tagging?

Their entire argument is predicated on poor premises. First they intentionally conflate a political appointment and it’s confirmation as a trial and attempt to apply evidentiary standards in a place where they have no bearing. Then as you say they conflate Kavangauh not being appointed as a conviction which would have

Yeah, that article is certainly open to interpretation. How much of the value gained is tied to the source material? How much due to CDPrjReds own work? I personally think that some settlement would be the best way to handle this, maybe not 16 mill in royalties but something well above 10k in exchange for the author

Surprisingly being incarcerated is by itself not grounds for removal from a federal judicial appointment. Incarcerated federal judges continue to draw salary unless they are impeached.
