It IS censorship because of 1 reason. You cannot make videos about controversial events without losing money that you would make with your usual videos. It is simply not sustainable to talk about important/controversial topics.

I think the evolution is simply in the generation and the focus areas of the shows.

Game companies seem to forget 2 things -

There is no excuse not to own a Vita.. You can get a used one for less than $100, the memory card might add to that amount, but it’s still extremely cheap and the best handheld.. Basically console games to play while travelling or moving about.
