"Apple doesn't need to put extra ram into its phones because they control the CPU, the GPU, OS, and core application structure from end-to-end."

FFS, it's a charger. Maybe they have the same supplier. And the box? I'm assuming that you haven't seen the boxes of both because the only similarity is that the box is white.

"All this is to say, they didn't HAVE to make it look like a 16:9 version of the iPad 2, but they did."

"iCloud on the other hand is built in, it's standard, it doesn't require heavy thinking, that is what makes it a big deal."

"Spot on. Even my apps from android market were already installed and waiting for me on my new phone. "

Google allows 20k songs at the moment, which is a lot more then 5GB. Amazon allows unlimited music for $20 a year.

First, a lot of Apple hate is the direct cause of comments like this or the Apple fanatics. Apple doesn't do most things better then most people. They do some things really well and have created a massive following that ignores the mediocre or bad stuff.

I love you...(no homo)

I'm assuming that what he is talking about is that such services as Google Music and Picasa, you are pulling the data down when you are requesting it. Instead, the iCloud is downloading it locally automatically. Acting like one way is better then the other is dumb though since they both have their pros and cons.

"iCloud is computing without the computing. And all of it, simply working, for everyone. Even your parents. Even your grandparents. Even your children. Thanks to iCloud, we are all power users now."

Heh, nah, I read the whole thing. It's just typical Gizmodo. Write a headline that says that this is why the iPhone screen will ALWAYS be 3.5 and then write an article about how some unknown guy guesses as to why Apple might have done it.

"This article was just a suggestion of what that reason might be. "

In May, Android was getting 400k activations a day. In July, 550k a day. Pretty soon, it's predicted to be a million a day. So yeah, if Android already hasn't passed them, they will pretty soon.

You can't remove any association with Android because they're still using their OS. Bezos probably didn't mention Android because he didn't have to. It's going to sell a lot because it says Amazon, not Android.

Except that those Samsung phones have different screen sizes, the S2 is thinner, and has a different button layout. So, no, I wouldn't call those the same phone. And as to why the iPhone is measured by it's external appearance, blame Apple for that. They hype up their products so much that if it's simply mediocre,

Sure, you're right. 250k people out of 312 million must mean that US consumers have no money to spend. And I'm sure that every one of these 250k decided to buy a kindle instead of eating and they are all connecting to the free wifi that is offered under the on ramp.

All Android devices basically do have the Amazon Ecosystem. You can get the Kindle, Amazon MP3, Amazon.com, and Amazon Apps on any device. Only thing missing is the Amazon Video.

The keyword is "pre-order" =)

Nevermind...
