"Residents are even expected to bring the iPad on rounds to manage patient data and take notes."

There was an article about a year ago where the news was reporting on a mayor running the city on an iPad while out of town. They failed to mention that he was just checking email which has been done on a massive amount of devices prior to the iPad. But since people have such a hard-on for Apple, this new magical

What do I know, it worked out fantastic for the music industry right?

Depending on the amount of internal memory you're getting with this, it's actually not an insane price point. If it's 32GB, then it's $30 less then the iPad2 which is only 3G.

No, it's just that more options from Netflix would have been nice. Not just one and/or the other. But who cares right? I should just fork over the extra $8 while the TV and Movie Industry make insane amounts of money.

And as far as I know, nothing else has compared since it's release 9 months ago. A good amount of the other games on the Top 20 iTunes games chart are on Android, have a clone, or will be released at some point. I only mentioned the quantity of apps because you're going to find quality apps out of 300k apps.

Yeah, I've been using it since May. 3.0 was a little rough around the edges and was released too early, but 3.1 fixed a good amount of hiccups and so did 3.2. I don't see anything wrong with the design of the OS itself.

So the same quality games that were on the iPhone first are no longer quality now that they are on Android? Screw Infinity Blade. Everybody uses that as the pinnacle of gaming greatness. There's a massive amount of other games to enjoy. As I said, there are apps/games missing from Android but if you can't find

There's plenty of quality apps in the store. Yes, there are apps that the iPhone has that Android doesn't but I can't think of any critical ones. And with dual core 1.2ghz CPU's, who gives a crap if the GPU renders the homescreen.

Honeycomb should be at around 1.5 million to date with 200k more a month. I got that number from the current number of Android users + the percent of Honeycomb users ([developer.android.com]

How is the Honeycomb experience not tablet friendly?

The point is that you can't stream. Which means, I still have to allocate storage to music.

I'm not sure what video that is because my work blocks YouTube. Tried loading up on my Droid but Gizmodo's mobile site is garbage and it doesn't give you the option to use the full website.

New Ladytron album coming out in 2 weeks =). I'm a little late to the party, but good lord, I LOVE Dragonette.

Really wasn't a fan of Third. Machine Gun was the only one I liked on that.

"Why would you argue that this is actually a Nexus phone?"

Honestly, if that's all you are using, I have no idea why you have a smart phone. I would just ditch the plan, use the smartphone as a wifi device and get a dumb phone. Would love to save the $30 a month.

You can't get SMS messages over Google Talk, you can over Google Voice. iMessage is actually pretty awesome. I'm not sure if you've seen how it works but you simply open up your SMS app and it automatically detects if the recipient is an iOS 5 user, if it is, it sends it as an iMessage instead of an SMS.

Anybody else think these "Toolkit" articles are getting out of hand? There's one every day and they're not even good.

Yeah, same here. It's too bad she died coming back from making IMO, the worst song on that album.
