this was explained in Folding Ideas NFT video. the companies that run these exchanges can actually revert the block chain to an earlier state to restore stolen crypto. but the thief can just send the stolen crypto to a different block chain and duplicate crypto was created.

and no chance of having ownership in the game.

but is it fun though? I highly doubt it. also if nobody is willing to buy your crypto with USD then it’s worthless and the time you spent playing a game you don’t actually enjoy was wasted.

you’re welcome. it also highlights easily one of the best Cyberpunk TV shows Mr Robot.

I’m saying they probably did both. there is a world model, view model, and menu model for every single possible gun customization permutation in the game.

I think you’re forgetting that the world model, view model, and gunsmith model are probably all separate files. and if each one of those gun permutations is also a separate file then that really adds up even if they’re small. especially since they added all of the guns from Cold War and Vanguard.

awesome! you’re welcome. I’m glad I could help.

the Atlas Shrugged/Bioshock comparison is very appropriate here. you can’t just create your own country and currency. your currency only has value if people are willing to convert it into other currency and trade with it.

it’s all monopoly money. this crypto currency is theoretically worth 600 million but there aren’t enough people in the world with that much money that are stupid enough to buy it. you can be a crypto millionaire on paper but you aren’t actually a millionaire until you manage to cash out and turn that crypto into USD

Now playing

I knew that Frogwares was a European developer but I didn’t know they were Ukrainian. that definitely makes me much more interested in picking up their games.

well Doom 3 is a game from 2004 and has significantly lower resolution textures and a significantly lower polygon count throughout all of it’s content. that’s not really a fair comparison. modern video games in general are just too big.

yes.

welcome to Call of Duty.

yeah it’s not great. this is ultimately why I’m happy that Microsoft is purchasing Activision. just judging from how these games are developed and coded and dumped out yearly, this franchise is poorly produced and managed. I’m hoping Microsoft can rein them in and fix some of this stuff.

it could always be down to an engine problem. the IW engine is still at it’s core a fork of ID Tech 3, they’ve just added to it and modified it a shit ton since the first Call of Duty game. they always say they’re making a new engine every few years but it’s pretty obvious to anybody that they aren’t.

a friend of mine told me that every possible gun customization permutation is actually a completely separate 3D model. so when you add that red dot to your AR-15 that just completely switches to a different 3D model, it’s not simply dropping the model for a red dot onto a model of an AR-15.
