Bring back the BRAT!
And offer an STi version.

Baja would be nice, too...

Maybe GMA, Gordan Murray Automotive.

Bring back the BRAT!!! And it better have a stick, t-tops, and jump seats in the bed!!!

My experience with Chevettes is with them as 20yo beaters, but even in the rust belt, they’d take a bunch of negligence, abuse, and the absolute bare minimum of maintenance. I’m not sure exactly how much mileage was on the fleet of pizza delivery cars I drove, but they were all past the ~250k kms where the odometer

It also looks like ass too.

Envista GNX!

I got to do a job shadow for a friend’s dad when I was in high-school who was an exec at Chrysler, and I sat in a meeting during the early days of SRT. There was an engineer who honestly wanted to do just that, but with Viper V10s. He came and made a pitch for it in that meeting. Didn’t get approved, but it’s fun to

Chop that old one off and put on a CAI. Not going to spend time on those 10 steps for a Focus.

Unfortunately for us, since this only happened yesterday, we don’t know much, but we’re going to fight as hard as we can to keep the comments under the new owners. The good news, the company that bought us is an actual media company and not some random AI startup just looking to buy a name, so while I’m sure there

Heard Jalopnik got sold. I assume as a result the comments section will soon be closed. Thanks for all of the fun and stuff over the years.  Many who started here are now over at the Autopian, which has become what this site used to be. Maybe the new owners will “get” that selling ads first and content a distant

Oh no the hit bigot is hollering what ever will I do

The Rare Classic Cars YT channel is great, btw. Crazy amount of detail in those videos.

What does the LOAN company have to do with this? The loan company told the dealership that they could not repossess the car because the dude was current. I assume that like most loan contracts there was a period where you owe a late fee, but as long as the payment and fee are paid by X date you are not in default.

Just give me a 24 hour heads-up, ok? There are a few of us good guys down here.

GR86. Lightweight sports cars are not long for this world. In 25 years it’s gonna be even more sought-after than its predecessor, the AE86 Corolla, is now.

Apparently Russian dashcam videos are coming to NY. Jalopnik had some articles about just this thing in Russia a few years ago complete with OMG he had a dashcam

I’m at a loss to understand why the woman did not call the police and report an aggregated assault; attempted injury with a dangerous weapon, or something like that.  THAT would have gotten the cops to respond, and pretty much describes the crime.

A nice side effect of my dashcam is that is makes ME a more, umm, polite driver. Any time I get fired up by others’ stupidity, I think, do I really want to record my own aggressive response?

I’m probably biased, because I have one, but the Buick Regal TourX is an amazing station wagon, that most people didn’t even know existed when new.

Now, you can snag low mileage ones for under $25K.

It is an amazingly capable vehicle. With the back seats down, it offers more cargo space then many mid-sized SUVs.

Plenty

The Honda Del Sol VTEC. To preface, I have a soft spot for the Del Sol by virtue of having previously owned one in Si trim, but the VTEC is much closer to what the Del Sol should have been from the get-go, provided you’re willing to overlook the FWD drivetrain. The entry-level S trim with its pokey 105 HP just
