Belle Isle is better than MIS in just about every respect...except for when you’re going in and leaving.

500 old school pedantic cool points for using “ALTERNATE” captain on the patch.
I like the ripple effect this would create. Increased salary demands after the SB win mean that the team would probably have broken up after the Washington SB, meaning someone could have tried to beat the Cowboys.
It’s not inheritance money. It’s a trust. Breaching a trust is a big deal.
The day that united young and old, black and white.
HOCKEY WAS RUINED WHEN GEOFFRION AND HULL BENT THEIR STICKBLADES
Strongly worded, but also with that upper Canadian touch of self-effacing whimsy.
It wasn’t a niche sport until TG poured all that money in to destroy it.
I still hold TG about 80% responsible, but it’s true North American open wheel expanded way too much internationally to try and capitalize off the Mansell boom. Something had to give.
I’m kind of sad, because I came back a few years ago and have really enjoyed it.
It’s discretion of the border guard. As long as you’re open and clear about it, you should be fine. If they ask you if you’ve been fingerprinted lately, tell them about the arrest.
Think they’ll get a Q team?
Some people in Ontario aren’t tools. Don’t pretend to speak for all of us.
I think half the population of Ontario still has that “Norris Division Playoff Champion” poster from 1992-93.
The original is an interesting window into when most other countries didn’t hate the US nearly as much as they do now. I’m guessing Pullman’s speech wouldn’t have even made it near the final cut if it were made today.
[edit: whoosh, well played]

Was going to joke that it was just like an early 2000s F1 race, but there actually was a lead change.
Why can’t they do this with Marlins guy?
No, they wouldn’t. An agreement between a team and a player wouldn’t be binding on the league, which I believe can invalidate even entire contracts unilaterally.
It’s a stupid argument in the first place because sport can’t be interpreted in the same legal sense as real life without mutuality being considered. If I tagged a random person with a baseball it’s assault.
