The original is an interesting window into when most other countries didn’t hate the US nearly as much as they do now. I’m guessing Pullman’s speech wouldn’t have even made it near the final cut if it were made today.

Was going to joke that it was just like an early 2000s F1 race, but there actually was a lead change.
Why can’t they do this with Marlins guy?
No, they wouldn’t. An agreement between a team and a player wouldn’t be binding on the league, which I believe can invalidate even entire contracts unilaterally.
It’s a stupid argument in the first place because sport can’t be interpreted in the same legal sense as real life without mutuality being considered. If I tagged a random person with a baseball it’s assault.
NHL’s really missing those 12k fans per home game.
Young Guns are pretty cool, but splitting Canada into a good and heel squad would have been better.
Make sure to look at other fans around the same price point or lower for noise, etc. The look on the Dysons is neat, but you can usually get a much better fan for half the price.

Plenty of people recall Koivu very fondly. Remember this is the Journal de Montréal. It’d be like using the Boston Herald or NESN as the thought pattern of all Bruins fans.
Same here, every time I hear it I hear “down on my knees”
They definitely ran out of steam after 18 months of Clinton saturation coverage. I think I still have their prank call CD...
As someone who was a kid in Tampa during that time period, I have more memories of the local radio show hosts being on the same billboard. (MJ/BJ/OJ)
That happened 20 years ago in Montreal.

Agreed, found it was both descriptive and not as wistful as some of the other AFL works.
Barry, best I’ve book found on the era (and the one right before it): http://www.amazon.ca/Americas-Game-…
Las Vegas isn’t going to have an NHL team move there, but they’re the consensus #1 in expansion.
The only thing worse than Seattle’s use of “12th man” is Texas A&M making a very commonly expressed phrase proprietary.
