This hasn’t happened for 10 years.
This hasn’t happened for 10 years.
HEY. That’s unfair and uncalled for.
People in Canada tend to like the Count.
25 years (even counting the WHA) isn’t long in pro hockey.
The logo, name, and uniforms were fun. The team was the definition of mediocrity on and off the ice. They had an “Adams Division Playoff Champion” banner, for god’s sake.
Keep in mind that the Winnipeg group was led by a billionaire they wanted into the club. Same with the Tampa and Buffalo sales.
That’s part of why an expansion fee is so huge: They just want straight cash. In 1990 Japanese shell corporations (Tampa Bay Lightning) and a ridiculously stupid real estate development…
Proximity to Chicago probably killed it in the early expansion eras. In the later ones the only real criteria was who could pay the expansion fee up front.
The loser point guarantees a playoff race. It’s stupid but is never going anywhere.
I really hate to say it, but if (big if) they get 4 jumpers at that expansion fee, they’ll probably take all 4.
Scorchin’ hot take that would crack a ceramic rotor right there.
Considering the other titles, “sex worker” is not bad.
Slavery was one of many issues, the problem was all those other issues existed because of slavery.
That’s some good Kinja.
(really, thanks Chris)
The team that didn’t have a city but played at SkyDome.

And unibrow.
What’s written above there is pretty much the dictionary definition of ambivalent.
This is what I don’t get. Your job isn’t to command, it’s to win basketball games. Sometimes you have to defer to your talent.
This definitely happens in other sports.

Thank you. +1
All hail the ‘Hawks, and they should definitely be included with all the 4 and 4 in5 teams in “dynasty”, but I don’t think any GM accomplishment comes close to the 1980-83 Islanders.
