MLSE is pushing for it at BMO once they add some new stands (I think they're going up to 30-35k and expandable). I think Ottawa gets the Heritage Classic after Winnipeg gets it next year.

This is idle speculation, but my impression is that they were forced into the NY part of the "Stadium Series" by the lockout moving the Winter Classic back a year, and just decided to throw in Chicago and LA for the hell of it.
That and this was the 7th WC, the act would wear thin no matter what happened.
Rogers Centre winterizes the roof after the Jays are done and it can't be opened, Olympic Stadium's is too unsafe for the snowload (they coudln't do the Als playoff game there this year).
Supposedly they're talking Gillette Stadium. Might turn into a complete warzone in the stands.
Pens/Caps have gotten hot a few times, they had a few really good series in the 80s.
