Yeah, as far as apologies go, this is a good script. We’ll only know for sure if he means it about a year from now if he avoids turning it into an anti-social justice comedy act mocking transgender people and Parkland survivors.

Yup, feels genuine to me- I was looking for one of those “I’m sorry if someone felt offended by...” apologies, and was pleasantly surprised. 

To me, the Farrelly apology seems genuine. Everybody has done stupid shit they regret. Most of us weren’t that stupid but at the very least he recognizes that it was an idiotic thing to do 20 years ago.

At what point do we stop using our own traumas as an excuse to ignore the traumas of others?
