So, I figured out the whole Santa is mom and dad thing at age six (I found the presents, half wrapped). However, I didn't confront my parents about it, I thought they were just playing pretend and it was fun; no one told me to keep it a secret.

We might be missing the point. It could be that women do the same stupid stuff, but are simply better at surviving their own stupidity.
