@Bant: The Pizza Mage: If your DSLR autofocuses at all during video (my silly D90 doesn't) it tends to be loud and annoying, yes. Some lenses are "designed for video", but I'm not sure how much it helps. Probably need an external mic to really dampen the sound, as I figure a lot of it travels through the body.

@taoprophet420: Uh, it looks pretty damned thin to me. No real scale for the picture, but it looks about two or so coins thick.

@Kaiser-Machead: Apple knows how to do many things. Mouse ergonomics has never been one of them.

@pixelpushing: I'd wager closer to $100. No way it's cheaper than a magic mouse, since a magic mouse is this + mouse bits. Unless Apple wants to get touch input into the desktop space so badly they'll flush their gigantic profit margin down the toilet, which I figure is pretty unlikely.

@schunniky: Unless His Steveness has suddenly done a 180 on pen input, I wouldn't hold your breath.

@CarbonatedFalcon: I'll admit I haven't really used one more than passing through an Apple store. I guess I could see a use if you had a trackpad integrated into your desktop keyboard, but a standalone over where your mouse would be just seems awkward.

Wait, so people who have a desk, and a mouse would choose to use a trackpad? Dare I ask why? I don't even use the trackpad on my laptop, preferring the silly ThinkPad nubbin thing since it's faster once you use one for 5 years.
