Parts availability for regular cars is a non-issue. It sounds like DavidHH probably takes his cars to the dealer for everything. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but delays, higher cost, and relying on only OEM parts are going to be an issue for that. I have a 10 year old Mazda 6 that I wrench on myself, and

My mother in law has a Forte. The fit and finish on it is pretty nice as cheap cars go, and it drives fine. It rattles less than my Cadillac.

They’re goofy looking, but honestly pretty endearing, and being purpose-built whilst also increasing safety and comfort is a huge win.

USPS does last mile delivery for Amazon in rural areas.

If you think the iPhone is ‘half-assed’, you are not a serious person.

I really dig checking them out in parking lots and at stop lights.  Kudos to Genesis.  Thank God they're not just slapping tacky black wheels on everything.

Our bus driver would just pull over if we got too rowdy and wait for us to settle down. She always had the windows down on hot days though and drove the living hell out of that bus lol. Still remember her name, Wendy, had her from elementary all the way through Highschool graduation, she was good bus driver.

I wonder if that could be what it takes for cities to make streets better engineered for pedestrians and cycling, these are built in a way that cars wouldn't be able to do that stuff not easily like now

Ever since our mayor (Breed) talked about defunding the police (actually diverting money from them to programs better suited to dealing with people having a mental break or overdose. All the cops know how to do is administer lead).

So, now the cops (who can easily make over $400k with OT) don’t do anything, ever.

Speaking VERY relatively here... I gotta be honest. It looks better wrapped in ANYTHING than it does in its own ugly-ass dirty stainless panels.  Yes, even that floral print.

Another brilliant move by Elon! He invented a car so safe that even people who break in don’t get hurt!

Yeah, its a pain, but I found the video at the top of the page here.

the billionaire class and the corporate class do what they do best — they use a pandemic to price-gouge the hell out of people.

Yeah! What does a guy who worked in an...auto parts plant know about the automotive industry?! Who does this guy think he is, just waltzing into the UAW...29 years ago?! Surely he only received his position by being appointed by the...direction election of the union members....

Fun fact: you don’t need a politician who understands the nuts and bolts of your industry. What you need is a politician who’s willing to say “You’re right, I don’t know, what do the experts in that industry say?” And then listen to the experts.

“Jake’s CTE” would be a more appropriate screen name. You’ve clearly suffered repeated, severe head injuries that result in the drivel you post here.

It’s almost like you didnt even read the article

Anyone with half a brain know that the right likes to talk a big game about keeping automotive jobs in the US but what they do is undermine unions any chance they get. Luckily for them, it’s clear that a lot of people in this country don’t have half a brain.

You’re asking what a guy who’s been a UAW member for nearly 30 years knows about the auto industry? Seriously? He didn’t step off a bus and immediately get elected UAW president.

Ahem
