I feel bad for D&D.  They should have either popped it out a few weeks earlier or waited for late Summer.   A week before Mario was a bad idea.  

Because “the guy who killed him” isn’t a mentally ill person who will act aggressively toward random people for no reason.

It really ramped up when Reagan decided to close basically all mental health facilities and just emptied those clinics onto the streets.

Solidarity. The wage to work disparity between writers (and other workers) and execs is insane and needs correction. The product wouldn’t exist without the people who put in actual labor. 

Good. Unions are the workers’ corollary to corporate power.

Republicans and government overreach? I’m shocked.

Flounder (character) isn’t a flounder (species) and never was. The new one looks like they modeled him after a sergeant major, a very common species of damselfish one sees all over reefs in the tropical Atlantic.  Pretty accurately I might add.

Her tweets are definitely not the worst transphobia out there, but please note two points.

What an incredibly petulant and childish response from a man trying to set himself up as an authority on journalism. You have no genuine criticisms whatsoever, just a lot of ill-tempered nitpicking.

I think it’d be better if, on the first day of journalism school, they taught you the difference between news and opinion.

I’m sorry, but I can’t take seriously the argument of someone who uses the word ‘strumpet’. Not that you made a serious argument, of course. But had you done so, strumpet would’ve killed it for me. 

Rowling might not say that explicitly but she is platforming and allying herself with people who do want to lynch LGBT people and that’s a problem. Transphobia is being used by the far right as a means to radicalise and recruit new people 

I was a big Potter fan. My favourite birthday present was in 2000 when I was turning 8 years old and I got the Goblet of Fire a day before release because my Dads friend owned a bookshop and he did him a favour.

She had her chance. Find someone else to read. There are hundreds waiting to take her place. Selling her books is not a god given right.
