I really don’t understand what y’all are whining about with these. They’re higher than 15 inches from the road, you don’t need to convince yourself that they’re dangerous and illegal just because you’re not a fan of the design choice.

Yeah there are regulations, they’re measured as height from the ground, they just have to be 15 inches from the road surface. There are smaller cars with lower tail lights on the road legally. You don’t like the design, that’s fine, you don’t have to convince yourself it’s illegal.
There’s no good reason for a semi truck to be so close to another car that they can’t see the turn signal when it would be most critical to see it. Maybe at a stoplight, but even then there will quickly be enough distance to be able to see the turn signal.
Chevy desperately needs better design direction, the bizarre eyebrow lights with ugly wounds underneath and the ridiculous grilles have got to go.
I think it’s weird to pretend that Hyundai is less original than any other manufacturer, but even accepting that premise their designs look better than anything you could claim they’re copying.
Frankly this makes the Defender look like shit. Land Rover should worry more about these comparisons than Hyundai.
EVs are expensive to manufacture because so little was invested into the tech until Tesla came onto the scene, same with hybrids but there was never a disrupter that made hybrids cool enough for any manufacturer to even consider moving to the obvious better choice for most commuting consumers. Economies of scale still…
Your medal is in the mail!
No actually! That’s not the only way, it’s just the only way that they’re even remotely amenable to manufacturing nominally progressive vehicles without being strong-armed (AS THEY SHOULD BE) by the government to make a barely effectual change that should’ve happened decades ago alongside a slew of other regulations…
Oh you want a sensible EV to soothe your climate concerns and consumption guilt? Here’s a $100k monstrosity that will sail clean through a Civic without slowing down. Our big push for EVs will be spearheaded by morons with too much money trundling around in heavy destructive tanks that spit broken asphalt and tire…
Yeah I was building on that point
Again, this is an argument for everyone to unionize and fight for better wages and benefits. It works, even for careers that don’t necessarily hold the fabric of society together. Also it’s important to remember that entertainers didn’t invent the demand for entertainment, and it takes more than actors to create shows…
Do you have a head injury? CEOs aren’t “just employees” moron, and the shareholders are other insanely wealthy people.
Those net worth websites are always inaccurate. He was probably doing okay from a few shows that were hits but that doesn’t mean he’s rolling in dough and he obviously still has expenses to cover while on strike.
That’s a reason for more people to unionize and fight for better wages, not an argument against this action
I’d reckon it’s about 28 out of the 32
With a layout like that and the state of Florida’s driver education, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re mostly accidental
We’re on Jalopnik, we all know how easy it is to get a shitbox up to 80 on a back road lmao
According to Wikipedia, the Rav-4 is on the TNGA-K platform and the Corolla is on the TNGA-C platform. The C-HR is on the C platform.
Every time I saw one of those while traveling through Europe I just got so jealous.
