Yet he bought a stupidly expensive product built entirely around the goal that it’s attention grabbing.

People placing entirely too high an expectation on a product made as a troll by an edgelord man-child.

The boomerest of the boomer-mobiles. Loud, showy, slow and built to remind the elderly of the “chunga chunga chunga CHUNGA chunga chunga” heyday or the Big Bopper and American Grafiti car cruises. Automatic trans, big V8 and heavy to drag down any performance it might have had...but as long as Hawaiian Shirt Hank in

That’s wild that a modern vehicle built for “off-roading” does this.

My cousin had an ‘84 in MINT condition back in 2005 or so.  That think had a carb’d 2.2 NA with an automatic.  It was downright dangerous to pull out into moderate traffic.  Merging onto the interstate had people going around us.    I still wanted that stupid thing.

American cars in the 80's were built abysmally.  Rose tinted glasses for everything 80's is a fallacy.

I had one as a delivery vehicle when I delivered parts for NAPA.   It had been through 3 transmissions by the time I was driving it. As terrible as it was, I beat the shit out of this car and it was great at squirting through oblivious traffic with the accelerator at half to full throttle 90% of the time.

Somehow I still want one.

I rented one of these when my car was in the shop.  It was a 2020 I think.  One of the worst driving cars and cheap feeling modern cars I’ve ever driven.  Zero power and I felt like I was inside a 55 gal drum.   I was looking forward to it too because people always rave about the Corolla.

The people who rag on the Mirage are the same ones who like to fondly reminisce about their 3 cylinder 80's rattletrap shitbox that got them through some tough times back in the day.  I don’t understand.

Couldn’t be a more fitting match honestly. A vehicle pretty much created specifically to troll and piss people off by an internet edgelord MAGA goon, driven by a loudmouth poser MAGA goon whose entire personality is “owning the libs” and trolling. The cybertruck is all style and power with no craftsmanship or

I test drove one when they first came out.   I was driving a tuned MK5 GTI but was interested in the RWD handling nirvana the FRS promised.   I felt like I was going to be mowed down by impatient soccer moms in Minivans behind me.   Good lord!

What year?    I just bought a ‘24 Forester Wilderness and it’s great.  Took it from Indy to Orlando and it was a nice drive.   I’m not the biggest fan of the CVT but it was fine. They do a pretty decent job approximating gears with it now.

I always liked those. I’ve always thought they’d be great with a proper suspension.

I took a part time job delivering parts for a nation auto parts chain. We have a few newer model Colorados, a Chevy Sonic and a Ford Transit. The Colorados are all far worse to drive than anything else. Granted, they’re all base model trucks with a base model 4 cylinder that makes all of 180 HP in a truck the size of

We can only hope.

I live pretty close to Speedway and the track and west of the track is mostly cool. Further east and you’re entering shooty town.   Downtown Speedway is OK and there’s a couple decent food and drink spots, but the majority of it is retail and chain hell.   It’s 99.9% not worth the hassle IMO, but like other have

The police, the court and the justice system as it exists now are not your friends.  You have to not take things for granted and be reckless as far as not letting others borrow your car or give the authorities any reason to target you because it will not end well 99% of the time.

Thankfully there was no desperado falling acorn involved. That could have turned out tragic.
