My cousin had an ‘84 in MINT condition back in 2005 or so.  That think had a carb’d 2.2 NA with an automatic.  It was downright dangerous to pull out into moderate traffic.  Merging onto the interstate had people going around us.    I still wanted that stupid thing.

I had one as a delivery vehicle when I delivered parts for NAPA.   It had been through 3 transmissions by the time I was driving it. As terrible as it was, I beat the shit out of this car and it was great at squirting through oblivious traffic with the accelerator at half to full throttle 90% of the time. 

Somehow I still want one. 

I rented one of these when my car was in the shop.  It was a 2020 I think.  One of the worst driving cars and cheap feeling modern cars I’ve ever driven.  Zero power and I felt like I was inside a 55 gal drum.   I was looking forward to it too because people always rave about the Corolla.

I test drove one when they first came out.   I was driving a tuned MK5 GTI but was interested in the RWD handling nirvana the FRS promised.   I felt like I was going to be mowed down by impatient soccer moms in Minivans behind me.   Good lord!

What year?    I just bought a ‘24 Forester Wilderness and it’s great.  Took it from Indy to Orlando and it was a nice drive.   I’m not the biggest fan of the CVT but it was fine. They do a pretty decent job approximating gears with it now.

The police, the court and the justice system as it exists now are not your friends.  You have to not take things for granted and be reckless as far as not letting others borrow your car or give the authorities any reason to target you because it will not end well 99% of the time.
