Well shit....off to craigslist to find a cheap old bike....exactly what I need
I was shopping around for a new daily/beater in the $3K range and looked at a fairly clean SE-R Spec V Sentra. 6 speed, AC, nice interior....drove the car and could hear top end noise with the windows up. Noped out of that one. Shame too because I liked the way it drove and handled.
I guess....
Mine was the IE “power kit”. I have an MK5 Rabbit with the 2.5 liter 5 cylinder. The kit includes a short runner aluminum intake manifold a tune and a cold air intake. I didn’t get the cold air intake since I bought everything a la carte and already had a cold air intake pipe. The kit is worth an extra 50 HP at the…
I got one that sticks to any flat surface....no occupied vents for me.
I’m sitting here empathizing and also knowing that I would have bought it too for that price.
MK5 VW on in the shop....I never got my shirt.
So funny, yet the pain....
Honda had one job.....put a damn K series in one. It could have even been the 2 liter K20A3 with 160 hp and it would have been waaaaaaaay more fun than what they decided to use. The K20A2 would have been a blast in that car with a stick and 200 crank HP.
That’s where these youngsters fucked up right there...
The times of yore
I remember opening night for the original F&TF. I lived in a small hick town east of Indianapolis.....after the movie was insane. People doing burnouts, racing, acting crazy....trying to re-live Dom and Brian’s antics.
My MK5 Golf (Rabbit) 2.5 has 176K miles on it and is still going strong. I’m getting ready to buy a MK5 GTI with 143K on it. I love them...they’re solid cars.
I test drove one this past spring and holeeey crap that thing is slow. I think my ‘04 Legacy wagon felt peppier.
More than you can afford, pal
I remember going to the dealership to fawn over them when they first came out.....I was young and broke, but a Neon fanboy and owned a first gen with some light performance mods as well as a couple FWD turbo Mopars from the 80's.
15 and one threaded in spark plug
There’s nothing better than watching videos of old engines fire up after sitting forever on YouTube....
What if you had agreed on his final price? Then when he met you in person after all those insults, that would have been really awkward.
