I understand your point, but I do not think I agree with it. The facts of the case have matured as far as is possible now (with the accuser’s silence and Kobe’s death). What is the value of asking people who were not present for the alleged assault their “opinion” as to whether he did it or the impact the allegations…

I think the concern is that it’s the journalists who are driving the narrative, not people on the ground. It’s become abundantly clear that Kobe’s colleagues, family, and friends are not going to discuss or give credence to the allegations of rape. “Friends” without the laugh track is an exercise in cruelty.

Friends is a terrible show, with awful people for characters. The only person that’s likable was Phoebe, and she was portrayed as a loony moron, but never mean (that I can recall). I have to admit, I’m not familiar with Living Single, never watched it back in the day.

People also seem to forget that not everyone had Fox back then. Where I lived it was a cable channel and we did not have cable :)

White person here. Barely paid attention to Friends. Always loved Living Single.  I particularly liked the first season when they were living in that big old house.  That said, Schwimmer’s mea culpa was well stated. He’s a decent guy who was trying to say the right thing and it got taken out of context.
