Is the combat in this newer demo any better then the original? I don’t care how beautiful the game looks, the combat was really disappointing and put a bad taste in my mouth for it. Dodging successfully seemed random, and the camera was rough

You don’t purchase characters in this, they are all free, including future maps/characters. For sprays/skins/emotes, loot boxes you can earn.

While you cannot summon primals in the same style as other FF games, I think XIV has done a fantastic job with their Primals. Knights of the Round, Shiva, and Bismark in particular.
