How about giving my 86 year old father a break? It works for him. Me, I use a tablet computer.

Yeah, I use an ad-blocker for most of my web browsing, whitelist pages I frequent, but use it to block entire sites that drop their comment system (ie. PC/Macworld, Business Insider, etc.) so I don’t visit them by happenstance. I don’t want to come by and read an article and find out I have to create a FB account…
That’s a cardinal rule? I think bloggers need to remember that many readers aren’t here for the “article;” we scan it and go right to the comments. The blogger is merely the appetizer.
Let’s see, lemme grow out my white beard, gain 20 lbs (i need to lose weight) and hang out with racist old fuckers in terrible bars, then go outside to my heavy, slow, loud, expensive bike, don my “for novelty only” half helmet, and go putter home a couple miles. Sounds like fun.
I can say, with absolutely no hesitation, that if I were in the market for a cruiser style bike right now, it would be an Indian. I LOVE what Polaris has done with the revival of that brand.
Reliability/durability is still a huge concern with leasing. Just because they don’t actually own the car doesn’t mean the leasee enjoys having to deal with dealers/repair shops all the time. It is annoying no matter whether you are financing or leasing a car. It then further effects the depreciation of the…
I wouldn’t buy a German sedan for the same reason. Preposterous lyrics overengineered, and the parts costs are pure larceny.
That’s what MG fanboys always said. Except on rainy days, because then the cars wouldn’t start at all.
Unreliable? No. Those are just teething issues that happen on every single new platform within the first year.
And I’m sure the Quadrofoglio is even worse with all the Ferrari bits in it.
People can say whatever they want about NASCAR but the racing has been pretty damn good this year.
Its not dementia its him being a republican.
It took me awhile to warm up to them, but the couple on Hometown is far more endearing than Chip and Johanna. They’re from small-town Mississippi so I would not be surprised if they hold similar religious views, but for now, I like to watch them without being annoyed by Chip’s antics and Johanna’s billionth…
There’s no legal or even corporate scandal, to be sure. You’re absolutely right that what he’s getting is the prevailing market standard for CEOs of large companies.
There is way less supply of competent executives now than there is of average workers.
That’s why we need to cut healthcare and education !
While his compensation is in line with CEO’s of similar sized companies, it doesn’t explain why CEO’s make vastly more now compared to the average worker than the did 30 or 40 years ago.
Golic is probably fun at a party, big ex football man, probably crushes some beer, tells some dirty jokes, and takes a piss in your shrubs on the way out.
I think there is a strong psychological element to it as well. Like, you live paycheck to paycheck, 99% of your income goes to paying for bills and/or debt and paying for the basic necessities of life. You cut back as much as you can and the scant little bit of money you have left over after everything else is go,…
