I think you’re right, but “original cast” has a particular meaning, which is why I suggested something like “returning cast members”. Regardless, this is more pedantic than anything else. I can’t tell you how much my ex loved that quality in me.

I’d give it a 5.  The BAU does try to deescalate whenever they can, but they do from time to time also stay silent when the cops they work with do #justcopthings.

I think in this case, “original” means “of the original show,” not “of the first iteration of the cast.” I’m not sure six members of season 1 cast are even available to return, given that they killed Patinkin’s character off and Thomas Gibson is persona non grata.

“Why does he keep calling you Lana?”

From your list, only JJ and Penelope were in season 1 and can be considered ‘original cast members’ (technically, JJ didn’t show up until episode 2, so just Penelope). If it were “returning cast members”, Aisha Tyler (among others, probably) should be included in your list as well.

Ryan Stiles.

“But with six original cast members reprising their roles..”

Mandatory retirement age for Federal law enforcement officers in the US is 57 if they have at least 20 years service, so yes. While I imagine they’ll ignore that, he could theoretically be brought on as a civilian contractor. Also, while technically “in the field,” a profiler is (almost) never going to be in a

I remember the show having a very dedicated (if not necessarily huge) fanbase, so I think that and the evergreen option of raking in cash through Paramount+ were the reasons. I’m not actually sure how much Paramount+ costs and how many have now signed up because of this revival, so feel free to correct me on that.

The South Korean film I Saw the Devil kind of had something like that going but they learned the very hard way that you don’t fuck with the South Korean equivalent of the CIA (which was actually once called the KCIA).

I liked Criminal Minds back when it was initially on, but do we really need a revival of the show this soon after the initial show ended?

Tara has also started dating someone who will catch fans by surprise ...”

Based on context, I think the writer specifically meant movies that incorporate the pandemic as a plot element/acknowledge it, or ones that exist because of the constraints put on productions in terms of testing, crew size, location, etc. Not just any movie that came out during the pandemic.

“sequel(s?)”

In some ways that’s the sign of a good mystery though. As much as we love detectives like Holmes or Monk or Columbo, those work best in short stories or episodic TV, where there’s little point in caring about the other characters and the mysteries are resolved mostly procedurally. A good mystery novel - or movie -

I’ve never even been to Pandemia!

Wait, are you insinuating there are non-American, possibly foreign countries out there? And that they’re worthy of notice for their cultural contributions?

Ana de Armas was the real star of the movie. I didn’t care for Blanc’s inclusion in the film at all.

Knives Out was wonderful but I was originally skeptical that “Benoit Blanc” needed to live on in the sequel(s?), but this does sound very good. And now that he’s left Bond behind, I need all the Daniel Craig I can get!

“first/only pandemic film I’ll ever rewatch.”
