This controversy is great for golf and it’s also a good litmus test for the petulant players.

If people haven’t connected the Horowitz-Simmons dots yet, I don’t know what you’ve become, Deadspin commenters!

An important thing to note that is syndicated programming is paid for based on the actual ratings. Thus, any downward movement in a quarter's ratings will really fuck with the bottom line.

The NFLPA doing something that puts the players' interests first...BAHAHAHAHA

Also, I would expect her vocals to be shot, much like every other older lead singer or vocalist. So based on expectations, I agree, I don't see what's so awful.

I've never thought for a second that Strong is kicking all these guys off the team due to character. He's kicking them off to open up more scholarships and bring in guys who fit what he and his coaches are looking for.

There's a reddit thread on r/cfb from a memorabilia dealer—think Manziel/Uncle Nate saga—where he talks about the dynamics behind making the deals with college players. If he had stuck to the premise of the "outrage" over relatively young athletes tweeting dumb things, he'd be on to something. Not sure how this ties into Donald Sterling, a man whose actions put minorities on the streets unjustly.

Maybe I'm too hung up on longevity when judging them. And that's not Webb fault, as a marathoner can hang around longer than a miler, of course. Besides the longevity from HS to now, I think 59 and 2:06 front a bigger runner are nearly as impressive as Webb's prep and pro miles.
