Yeah, the old internet wisdom that all old BMWs are unreliable moneypits. Please keep regurgitating that so the prices stay reasonable. I’ve been DDing an ‘08 E61 for the last five years and even as the mileage climbs it’s been way more reliable than the Accord I had before. Anecdotal evidence I know but still.

But once it starts working, it works great and I forget about how flaky it can be.” That reminds me of my E61 BMW. ;)

In the EU the unvaccinated don’t go to the bottom of the list (automatically). That’s against the law. The doctors just have to pick the patients with the best chance of survival.

Scheibenwischer = screen wipers

About 7 years ago when Doug DeMuro wrote for Jalopnik and was in his “import weird car and whore it out for clicks” phase, I looked at an E30 325 iX wagon near Munich on his behalf. Car was a ten or 15 footer, looked good in pictures in the ad but had too much rust upon close inspection. I took a ton of pictures and

So you live in a bubble where you have no relatives or friends that are elderly or in another high risk group? You might survive it, but how would you feel if you spread it to them thereby killing them?

So that’s why everything is fine in Brazil and other South American countries?

It’s not about staying at home indefinitely, or until/if/when a vaccine arrives. Just take a look at how other countries are handling the pandemic.

Years ago they started changing the name (Niva, Taiga, 4x4, etc..) and each time starting with a new set of VINs to get niche manufacturer exemptions. Pretty sure they couldn’t have kept with this BS forever and decided to quit while they were winning.

It’s not from “the middle of the Bangle era”! Before the start of the Bangle era.

I’m still rooting for Audi original accessories/T-mobile.

That “Ford” is a Mazda 626. Weird badge enineering!

Complain all you want about the FWD 1 series, which gets lauded to be the most agile FWD platform on the market by reviewers BTW, but your picture shows the 2 series tourer. And yes, these 2 series mini-minivans are an abomination that should have never worn the roundel.

They are only off the roads on Sundays.

We saw it at the Peugeot museum in Sochaux during Europpomeet 2019. It really is a weird thing, but it kind of shows what they wanted to achieve with that goofy smiley face design language.

Nobody ever said it was going to be free. At the very best new jobs created vs traditional jobs lost, less rebuilding after floods etc. vs investing in infrastructure will help paying for a big chunk of it. It’s not a zero sum game, but what else would invest in right now? Bringing coal back?

Well, we could do something about climate change now, but imagine how pissed off we would be if 50 years later we found out that it was all a hoax. We would have for no reason at all made inner city air breathable again, rivers clean and full of wildlife as well as other habitats (I think there’s a Venn diagram

I have 18" summers and 16" winters but with different sidewall height the total diameter is the same.

Car companies usually don’t give an eff about preproduction cars. Friend of mine works in R&D at ____________ . They once had a test car catch fire on a proving ground. Their superviser told them to not even bother trying to put the fire out as it was headed for the crusher anyway. So they just let it burn down and

From what I gathered by reading the article the area where the Panda really got hosed is the electronic safety tech like lane assistance and radar auto braking, of it has zilch. It’s an economy car built to a price. The basic shell isn’t state of the art anymore, but that’s a given with any older design.
