CP! These front clip conversions, are always tacky. This one is no exception.
Yes, the 7/900 series were safe cars back in the day. It's just that the game has moved on. I'd rather bet on that brick wall than the old Volvo.
Another rebadged Chevy? Seems like they lately need to have all their competetive products developed somewhere else. Opel/Vauxhall for the mid-sizers and compacts, and Daewoo for the sub-compacts. And now Nissan for a small van?
When in Rome (and you have to visit Rome if you are on a roadtrip across Europe), do as the Romans do (a.k.a. drive an Italian car).
Good luck finding one! And forget renting.
I'll have to dig deeper into that!
It's great! I watched it a few days ago, and I was in awe at what you can do with these Micro Machines and simple stop motion technique. Also, extra points for the deer's head on the bonnet.
Exactly! See my reply to Hammerhead in this thread.
Exactly! I always kinda liked Dacias for their no-nonsense attitude. But this is a little too much for me. Their new-ish (debuted in 2012) MPV only gets 3 stars in Europe. Their official statement was that that's exactly what they were aiming for, since it's about the same as the used car people would have gotten in…
A colleage of mine confessed to me that she knows how to change a tire. Yet when she had a flat, she just tried to look puzzled, unbuttoned the top button of her shirt and had some random blokes change it for her. You know, no dirty hands or something.
We talked about that in Oppo a few months ago. Cars like the Dacia Sandero for example get 3,5 stars in Europe ( http://de.euroncap.com/de/tests/dacia… ), whereas they only get 2 in markets such a Brazil. Not cool, Renault! It comes down to the point where you get the feeling that they value the life of a European…
My parents asked me if they should keep my grandpa's car until my 18th birthday. Being a typical teenager, I didn't want to be seen dead in that thing and I told them to get rid of it. Well, a few years later, I developed a knack for older cars and now, I'm just sad that I was so stupid to let this family heirloom go.…
Riddle me this: Why is Mercedes so intent on having spy shots and the like leaked. These have been driven around and even street parked in the greater Stuttgart area for quite a while now, with almost zero camo and nothing to protect the interiour from prying eyes. Seems quite the opposite of what car makers usually…
Dude, you obviously didn't get the joke!
OK. Let me explain this. A "Coupe" doesn't have to have only two doors. When following the French origin of that word, one will find that it simply means "cut", and nothing else. So a car, any car, with a lowered roof-line is a "coupe". So these chopped Hot-Rods, yeah they are Coupes, but they are mostly made from…
Yep, this is a € 200K car when new, so even for a used one, there should be some profit in cleaning it up. Let a reputable shop go nuts for 50K, you will end up with a car that's better than new, and it's still cheaper than anything on the market. If there even is a market where you can pick and choose.
