Although movies like this are frequently rewritten by people who don’t get credited, two women were the screenwriters of this movie. Hmm, it’s almost like if you hire women behind the scenes you might get a film that has a young woman as the star and speaks to young women’s experiences, and I don’t remember young boys…

I am an only child and was always really lonely too so I get it. I wanted her adventure.

Oh I was older than 9 when I saw it but I totally loved that story. I was always a lonely girl so I really loved it.
