Yes, the change has been relatively recent. But she’s a young women with an incredibly large and demanding platform. At 29, I would say she’s been more active than most of her age range peers and they don’t have stardom as an excuse.

I felt it was a combination of Twitter Trolls and Trump. I did not take this as an indictment against anyone critiquing her music. This whole article was a very weird take. Hopefully they had a good stretch before all that reaching.

This is something she recently done though she has spent years being silent on politics. I love that she is vocal now. Jezebel has always hated her and nothing she will do will change that.

Seriously, Taylor Swift has so many stalkers that celeb gossip sites can make top 10 lists of them. Her house has been broken into by people who have said outright they want to kill or rape her more times than I can count. Making fun of her for having a security team takes so much cognitive dissonance I can’t . . . I…

They hated her for not speaking up or having a stance, but they seem to hate her even more for coming out with the right one.

Of all the pop stars, Jezebel has to lean really far to get so upset with Taylor Swift. Generally uplifting, speaks to women’s issues, gay rights advocate, spoke out to her (country-oriented) base, involved herself in Tennessee politics, etc.
