Dude...my very first line was:
Debates about preservation aside...

Regardless, preservation is a very real problem going forward that folks are going to have to figure out, but physical media on its own isn’t going to preserve anything. I have a physical copy of Destiny for PS3 that I can pop into the system, but when

Emulator developers don’t rely on people using their software because they’re not making money off it. What are you even talking about?

You don't know what you're talking about, and you look real silly right now.

Game system emulators aren’t illegal, as has been proven in court multiple times. Using copyrighted code (be it bios, firmware, or ROMs), on the other hand, is.

For the last time, there’s been multiple US court cases, and while companies would absolutely LOVE for emulation to be illegal so they could talk like you, it isn’t. Emulators are totally legal. Pirating ROMs isn't and that's definitely spurred on by emulation, but emulators are totally legal.

What cereal box have you been getting your legal insight from?

wow! that’s so depressing.

We’re on our way to lifetime, cradle to grave streamers. I’m so old.

I’m not super old or anything, but I REALLY don’t get the appeal of creating content like this, or participating in it.

Same, I’ve had the same (mostly straight) people bitch at me for eating chik-fil-a while they’re munching down on dominoes, who also donates to anti-lgbt causes.  IF you’re not going to take the time to find and boycott everything that does this don’t tell me what to do.

Or getting really fucking fat eating Costco hotdogs and pizza for every meal.

Here is the problem. It’s not the business. The family named their foundation after the business. They are two separate entities.

It’s not the business. It is the founding family’s foundation. And if the family chooses to support organizations through their foundation is their business.

Nothing that closes on Sundays should be allowed in an airport.

Common thread among people who defend Chick-fil-A is that they believe that their freedom of speech is more important than our freedom of speech, and that their religious freedom is the only one that matters.

The gay guy in my office eats there so I feel absolved of any responsibility for social activism on this front.

“There is no neutral stance on Chick-fil-A any longer.”

I’ll get on the CBD train once there are some high-quality human-based studies demonstrating that it actually has the effects it is touted to have.

To not mention it would be silly in this case, I think.

The counterpoint here is... while IBM PC-compatible chassis architecture standardized on three main architectures in the 1990s and 2000s (“Baby AT” with the “PS/2" power supply standard (neither of which was actually an accurate name), “LPX” (which was never a very tight standard and motherboards were usually only
