This is one instance where it makes sense for the protesters to carry guns. The act of carrying them openly in this neighbourhood IS the protest.

Yes, yes, yes! Was just thinking this. I was watching the husband of a victim (who was also a nurse) on the news this morning and was just weeping. It was such an insane and devastating attack. In the spirit of Canadian-isme, an apology would be nice.
