I totally agree and am always outraged by that particular point of hypocrisy amongst religious folks. However, like the Christian Right and other  fundamentalist religious people, they are  more concerned with keeping down the gays, stopping abortion, and other “traditional family values” concerns, rather than love…

The psychology behind people who are inclined towards conspiracy theories is interesting and it makes so much sense that Trump supporters would be these kind of people—they’re usually people that feel marginalized or disempowered

And then there was the Aunt Lydia comparison, which the Right has interpreted as a physical critique of Sanders (even though it wasn’t, and the joke made no reference to aunt Lydia’s appearance ).
