Look into the I-80 corridor in Cali. Cost of living is better than bay or LA, and the job market is better than the San Joaquin valley area or Redding area.

The answer is a universal basic income. There isn’t a need for everybody to have a job and we need to adjust to that reality.

Depends. Are you a fan who watches every game, or somebody who can get by with radio at home and just watch big games in public? I spend a fair amount of time in bars anyways and get enjoyment from hanging out with friends there. It can go either way.

Now that HBO has finally gotten with the program and offers a standalone option, sports are the only thing I miss out on by not having cable. Bars are my friend.

The #1 thing that killed my baseball fandom (I was a die hard stat guy who worked his own spreadsheets thinking about how to make my team better) as a giants fan was winning. From birth, I lived with the pain of loss and hope of better days. Once better days came, I had nothing to look forward to and abandoned ship.

The board is... Interesting. It’s filled with Clinton cronies and Brown is trying to remove them in favor of his own cronies, which are probably upgrades. None of them actually care about the institution beyond how to make money.

I’ve been here since ‘07, and the changes are basically that the full time residents pushed back against college kids doing what they do, and that the food/drink went from shitty to pretty awesome. Fair compromise if you can avoid the middle aged NIMBYs.
