Elite swimmers are not taking many breaths, it slows them down. If they were allowed to, 50m freestyle would be underwater only. You can find videos of guys running faster than wr times just doing dolphin kicks.

Niantic’s trailer has tracking, with distance to Pokemon given to you. Alpha had that too, plus tall grass. The way you play is NOT what the developer wanted. It’s just the only possible way now that it’s broken and their servers suck

Re: the game, you had grass that told you where to look for Pokemon, and once you encountered Pokemon in one area, you knew that you could find them again. That’s tracking - just not precise tracking
