400m aren’t until college

I thought that here in CA there was a 2am cutoff, but then me and some of my drunken friends walked to Safeway at 3 and bought vodka. (such good drunk ) Maybe the cashier fucked up, but I’m now convinced that CA has no cutoff.

The story I tell is of reaching the CA state track finals as a 5'6" white dude in the 300m hurdles, and the next shortest guy there was 6'. And I was the only white guy. Needless to say, another competitor’s fall was the only thing that prevented me from coming in dead last.
