You just have subsoncious anger towards the Mighty Ducks.

Felicity.
Felicity.
Felicity.
Felicity.

That's exactly how I feel about the Benetton "made for TV gangs" that consist of every ethnicity of people who would NOT be hanging out. Fake reality is fake and white people are often the ones more offended by "lack of diversity" the we are.

Im halfway joking but it is the truth. To say that a certain amount of nominations is required to get Fish Mooney to attend then we are creating classifications that go beyond the general terms of "Best Actor" or "Best Director".

Sounds like you're making a separate category.

Yes. Thats called "stacking the votes". And it hurts the cause that the non-whining minorities have been fighting against for decades.

Equality = Special treatment. Got it.

Keira Knightley reminds people of Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman reminds people of Carrie Fisher
Daisy Ridley reminds people of Portman, Knightley and Fisher.

Overrated

But the problem is that you're essentially saying "stack the votes". Get more diversity in the academy so that what, they can vote on their race?

"it was hard to miss the fact that the major award categories—Best Actor and Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Actress, and Best Director—excluded any African-Americans."

It's amazing that a movie made this much money, yet even the people who claim that they loved it couldn't even name 5 characters names. (Actual Character names, not and not "Sigourney Weaver, that guy from Dodgeball, Blue Gamora, the military guy and I think he was in Terminator". )

Maybe, but The Clone Wars animated series had several Hutts killed with seemingly no repercussions so maybe there is no story behind them.

Its nice to feel validated by Carrie Fishers comments. On message boards everywhere then people (mostly men) were rushing to obliterate the "Slave Leia" toys in the name of protecting women. But my position has always been that the Slave Leia outfit was a symbol of empowerment. She wasn't in that outfit because Lucas

What I'd like to have seen is an even tighter mini-series dealing with Purple Man and then following it up with a less psychologically intense detective show.

Sure she's superhuman but what does that really mean. I know it sounds silly but I'd believe an ability to magically fly over the idea that someone with the strength to super jump is only an "Olympic Level" runner.

"This is nice. I want to see more of this, I think to myself"

And by "gifted" you mean she is slightly stronger than regular people but nowhere near Captain America levels.

Remember when Jessica Jones was presented as an intelligent and capable person who was smarter than the people around her? Yeah. That was a long time ago.

Thumbs up x1000. The authors sudden need for a feminism/racism rant made me want to barf out a pizza.
