I am a federal employee. I will be taking the day off. I informed my supervisor and project team member ahead of time (both men) and they were supportive. Other women I spoke to feel supported by our coworkers, but are worried about the administration checking timecards to see who doesn’t come in and retaliating. They

Man I guess we should never go to a movie together!

I totally agree! My friends and I have had extensive debates about Boyhood (as well as The Artist, which I loved, and La La Land, which I thought was ridiculously miscast). But there’s usually a movie out there for everyone!

Well sure, but any time I heard someone explain why they thought it was so great they would say it was because how long they dedicated to making it. That doesn’t inherently create a good film.

“Comfortable enough” is not the proper threshold for a couch. Couches should be the most comfortable item in your house, (except maybe your bed). If you don’t spend 80 percent of your workday dreaming about sitting on your couch while watching Netflix and eating cookies, you’re doing it wrong.

I 100% feel this way about Boyhood. Oh wow, you made a movie about the coming of age of a white male? How novel!

BUT IT TOOK A BILLION YEARS TO MAKE.

I do not care. It still put me to sleep.

Most of my time during this movie was spent yelling “Who has a pommel horse in their house? Please for the love of god, let them fuck on the pommel horse and my ticket will be worth it.”

I am not sure I would do it again but if I did, I would totally do a public law school with in-state tuition. When you rack up that kind of debt, you get saddled with working for a big law firm just so you can pay your student loans (and I am not rolling around with tons of cash...about 30 percent of my income goes to

You may all place your lawyer jokes on hold for the next four years. The judiciary (along with the people’s resistance) may be the only thing that get us through.

I live in DC and I often find myself asking why it’s so difficult to find a good bar that meets that criteria!

Quite possible! I am an old now and I haven’t been to Vegas in about five years.

I feel like I should have my feminist card revoked for saying this, but the Playboy Club in Vegas is one of my favorite bars to go to when I am in town. The environment is very chill and it’s not insanely crowded; it has a lovely view; the staff are super nice (crazy what happens when you treat someone like a normal

I was thinking the same! Honestly the only people who leave me voice mail anymore are from my doctor’s office, so it’s important to know they called.

Actually immigration law is federal, so you don’t need to be licensed in that specific state to practice.

I’m going to do this now, but it better be goddamn life changing, or I am going back to sleeping on my mite and sweat infested pillow.

My day will be MADE if I see Ollie in person. Just go a little further north to Van Ness, Ollie! You can come over for tea and cat treats!

Nope. Must be a kindred spirit!

I am proud to say that in junior high I won a giant trophy at the county fair for my decorated cat cage themed “Cats in Space” (featuring many rocks with googly eyes glued on them). My cat, alas, took home a fourth place ribbon, which is basically the equivalent of a participation medal. It seems she was not a fan of

I thought the fight between them was great TV, and I also liked the brief exploration into the friendship with Valencia and Heather. I’m a little disappointed they brought Nathaniel into this will they/won’t they territory, but I am hopeful because this show has always excelled at disrupting tropes!

It’s my favorite show on TV. Although (I feel like a traitor for saying it because I love it so much)....is it just not the same without Greg?
