@AbbyNormal: Well played. I am always using that analogy and no one appreciates it!

The formatting is a mess but that dress is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I wish I could have it.

@hortense: You know what? You're right. It seems funny to me sometimes, though, when the commenters get called out for saying things that have been said by the eds. I think I am OK with having different standards for commenters and eds, given that 1) the eds work for the site, 2) reading a bunch of different writers

Will we have a table or something? I mean by now I know many of you but I refuse to wear my glasses so it's easier if the hostess can point me in the right direction.

OK, but wasn't there a POST here recently that talked about having no empathy for males with eating disorders?

@Archetype: Wait, I can't because I'm not an admin. I think you can only request to join if you're in the NY, NY network but maybe an admin can add you? I'll ask them.

@Archetype: I will see if I can invite you.

@LaComtesse: Re: "3) But so few women get raped ANYWAY..."

@aubonpam: I don't get why Brooke still hangs out with the girl her dad cheated on her mom with. That is messed up. If one of my friends did that she would be dead to me. I would never betray my mom like that.

@lola82: Thank you for that link. I just set up my own fundraising page and am going to start harassing people to donate to the campaign! I am also going to look into volunteering here in NYC. We cannot allow the Republicans another four years in the White House.

She strikes me as the type of woman who thinks of rape victims as certain types of women who "get themselves into those situations."

I think the list was based on who they thought they could actually get to attend the party.

Also I have a really cute Milly cardigan that I got on major sale at a boutique in Boston... it's lavender with heart-shaped buttons.

One fashionista writes, "Last summer I had to buy a dress for an engagement party, and I actually bought a Milly - a Milly. Four years ago, I would have sawed off my left pinky toe before considering such a purchase."
