I love Sarah Haskins - damn I missed her vids. Thanks Jez.

It appears you're missing the fact that men (unfortunate but true, in this case at least) thought they should bombard women, i.e., Caroline Criado-Perez and Stella Creasey, with threats of rape and bombs at their homes. In one case alone, over 50 threats of rape, per hour over a two day period. Nothing about that is…
Twitter management dodged this for so long, before this hideous furore, and it's about fucking time. It's bitter-sweet - women 'helped' make this happen but it was systematic abuse of women that made this happen...
I got that. It's apparent from the link.
Who is this? It's very distressing.
I'm showing my age; when I read "remember 'Save Ferris'?" I immediately assumed the link would have a story about Matthew Broderick.
Perhaps they should also do this for unseen street children.
I, personally, from experience prefer a 'cut' dude.
This is good news - the minority of people who 'earn' millions every year SHOULD donate a portion of their income to charitable causes - no question.
This man (whom I believe is guilty of murder and do not feel sorry for) will not be able to MOVE for media scrutiny for many years. Not a sentence though...
I get what you're saying - but woman have been asked, instructed and legislated to behave in various ways in public for a very, very long time. I dispute the 'nice girl' ideal - it's obviously not new and question the original article for it's lack of historical background (most of which is based on the original…
Eh, no. Threatening anyone with rape and violence is wrong. Anywhere.
Mary Beard OBE, Professor of Classics at the University of Cambridge, Newnham College, 'named & shamed' a troll who called her 'a fifthly old slut' on-line- he apologised...
I loved Eileen Brennan. RIP.
I'm shamelessly piggybacking this post to ask where I can find a dress like this one Billie Piper wore recently - Polkadot ankle length flowing dress.
So true. My reading and viewing habits have changed too. Picked up an Irish author in a book store today to read the back detailing five main male characters and the only female character was a teenage girl.
Liking this a lot so far.
Strangely, it's enjoyable. It was perplexing, initially to me at least, to realize how scared men are of 'mature', confident, educated women. But also worrying to find how many younger women are scared too. Believe me - it is not a 'netherworld' but your own world you now occupy.
Being less noticed is one thing (enjoyable, I agree) but being ignored is another.
