I know of a three year old who has a Ipad. I don't even have an Ipad. I cringed when I bought my S III, but I am a working adult. I didn't get a smartphone til I could pay for it.

As long as they fit in my tiny purse or my pocket, I am good with my S III.

That does seem like an option if they use it for medical purposes, or even replacing the medical bracelets.
