I have read numerous times to change it every 60-90 days. I have Nest thermostat that gives reminders based on usage. Should I trust that? My concern is that I haven't changed my filter since September, but the Nest hasn't reminded me to do so yet.

I’ve been thinking about hosting this on a Raspberry Pi set up as a web server.
