Let’s see what would happen if these services changed their offer to “You sign up and we charge you now for the first 3 weeks and then we give you a free week at the end”. That would be like your Olive Garden analogy. And nobody who wasn’t already inclined to sign up would do so.

Yea. You keep believing that. You’re comparing apples to oranges. A more apt comparison is someone walking into Olive Garden and saying “I don’t want the meal that I have to pay for here but I do want the free meal I can take home.” Do you know how many posts I’ve gotten from people who say they like Discovery (and

Miami is a joke. The nice parts of Miami are so friggin’ expensive that you and I will never be able to afford to go there. And the rest of the city is either a crime scene or a crime scene waiting to happen.

Did you know that CBS All Access counts all of the order/cancelers as current subscribers even though they never made dime one off of any of them? But it sure makes the books look good when they talk about number of subscribers, doesn’t it?

Just one little question. Actually, a multitude of questions all around the same topic.  How is what I do any different than the millions of people who sign up for these services during the ‘free-trial-week’ offer, binge watch the shit out of whatever they’re interested in, and then cancel before the bill becomes due?

If I may be so bold as to speak for Phillies fans, I’m not pissed about the Harper signing at all. Yes, he strikes out a lot, no, he doesn’t get a lot of clutch hits and no, he doesn’t hit for average. But he is putting up career average numbers. He’s going to finish with about 32 HRs and 93 RBI which is what his

Seeing as how I have no interest in 99% of it, it matters not to me. And if they actually do show something that I want to see, I’ll just pirate it for free. And I don’t care about the poor actors and actresses who are being deprived of a paycheck and I care even less about those of you who think I’m a bad person. Go

Speaking as a person who has never seen any of the Fast & Furious movies, I thought the entire concept behind the franchise was mindless action with lots of really neat cars. So, this edition is a little too mindless for you? Is that the general complaint? The dumbing down of an already dumbed down movie franchise?

This reminds me of the great debate over the Buffalo Bills and were they one of the greatest teams of all times to make it to 4 consecutive Super Bowls or one of the worst teams of all times to lose all 4 of them. I really don’t know. There’s a lot of logic to both positions.

How many people care about the NFL anymore? How many people would rather see their favorite team win the Super Bowl than have their fantasy team win its championship? Fans of the Patriots need not apply. I care. But I think I’m in the huge minority. Most of the ‘football fans’ that I know of only care about their

It is what it is. It’s football for the football geek who is counting down the seconds until his fantasy football league draft starts.

I don’t know if I would make the perfect GM or a GM who couldn’t get anything done. I would be willing to give out a big bucks contract. I would also be willing to give out a long term contract. But you’re going to have to make the decision which one you want because you’re not getting both. Take the big bucks for 2

I post this every time somebody posts an article about the Giants and/or Eli Manning (just because I love it so):

There was a time when people complained about The Andy Griffith Show. How come there are no black people in Mayberry? How come there is no crime in Mayberry? How come nobody smokes pot in Mayberry? How come there are no Viet Nam War protests in Mayberry? You know why? Because The Andy Griffith Show was never meant to

I took the last orange. Somebody else has to take this one.

And that’s a shame.  Madden and Summerall were the shit in calling games.

You’re determined to win this Super Bowl even if it kills you, right?

Did the ball go over the wall? That’s still quite a throw. Word has it that John Elway once stood at home plate at Yankee Stadium and threw a baseball right down the third base line and just cleared the wall. Now that’s a throw!

Yea, if that was my house, the driver would definitely be paying for towing and impound fees. I don’t think I would slash his tires, but I do think I would let the air out of all of them.
