Had the dream summer internship at Porsche R&D in Weissach the summer of 1997. Worked in the department who put this together. Most of the guys had small pictures of it at their work stations (Germans normally aren’t ones for such display), and when asked about it, smiled and spoke of it fondly.

FCA guy here again. Yes, I was an absolute savant level Neon expert back when these little guys came out. We had one hell of a good time traveling around in a team doing the national Neon launch at dealers all over the Midwest for a couple months.

NP and I’m probably one of the few commenters here who can say I owned a vehicle with this drivetrain and much of the same running gear.

Thanks for calling them out on this. I’m a Data Scientist, and my kids didn’t quite understand why I was yelling at the TV so much the first time I saw this ad.

I knew the source GM was using was BS as soon as I read that it was a survey conducted by Ipsos.

This is required, obviously.

I am willing to bet damn good money it’s not. These cars are notoriously easy to total, damage like that is typical of the damage that will total-out an Elise or Exige.

I went there and tried to buy several of his cars. The keys were missing and he SWORE he could find them, or he wanted to get them running first, and refused to let me take any of them as-is. Many of his nicer cars were not for sale until he ‘gets around’ to getting them running, even if I made a reasonable offer.

Canadian vandalism.

yeah like how he pulled that rocket out of his ass and resupplied the international space station. What a poser.

If he delivers on this shit, my next car should be perfectly timed to be a model 3. Right now with falling gas prices there has been a lot of anti tesla sentiment. My desire for a car with full torque from zero RPM and less mechanical parts splashed with a dose of fun hasn't abated one bit. I'm willing to admit that I

Maybe Tesla is special. When Ford reports sales, are they sales to customers or sales to dealers? Tesla isn't selling to any dealers so their delivery numbers seem more realistic to me.

Hypothetically - and believe me this is a hypothetical - you could ask for some kind of stock option equity sharing program instead of a raise. Would that do anything for you?
