Just testing the Kinja. Nothing to see here.
We can expect that Hot Pie will open a pie cart and take his wares on the road, eventually gentrifying Flea Bottom and the Sept district.
Clearly was fire, not a “concussive blast”
As recently as the late 1800's, it was common to name a child the same name as a deceased first child. My grandfather was born in 1896 and was named the same as his deceased older brother. As child mortality rates fell, I think this became less of a practice.
Mirri Maz Duur’s Prophecy was actually about when the curse on Khal Drogo’s mind would be lifted:
“We learned a lot from the season finale, “The Dragon And The Wolf,” like how seven seasons of incest is just enough time to make people okay with it...”
See renaming Asha to Yara to avoid confusion with Osha.
Bran doesn’t know what his aunt looks like. He only knows her from poorly carved statues in the Winterfell crypts. He wasn’t born yet when she died.
Naming Jon ‘Aegon’ was obviously part of Lyanna’s cunning plan to hide him from Robert. She figured no one would believe Rhaegar would name both of his sons the same thing, so everyone would conclude he couldn’t be Rhaegar’s son!
This article has been up for 3 and half hours. How no one make joke yet about this being terrific article
HBO went with Aegon because every viewer knows it’s the name of the great conqueror who forged the Iron Throne they think we are all a bunch of dumbasses with no imagination. Complete failure on their part. I cannot stress highly enough how poor a decision that was.
Tyrion bringing up the line of succession at that time was weird, and kind of forced. So I think what happens is: Cersei is really pregnant. She kills Tyrion somehow (thus her thinking she’s safe before it all turns to ash, re: Tyrion’s prediction). Once Jaime/Arya kills Cersei, the Hound finds Cersei’s kid, in a…
The Aegon name makes sense, if you think that Rhaegar set aside his first wife, and therefore his kids, and he still wanted his heir to be named Aegon. Once he has his first marriage annulled, that makes the original Aegon illegitimate, so if he wants a legit heir named Aegon, he’d have to double up on the name.

Not sure how Jon Snow stabbing Dany in the heart is good news. Of the two characters in the show, only one of them has any interest in reforming civil society once the Army of the Dead are defeated. Jon is solely a wartime leader. Every time he has responsibility, he abandons his duties to go pick a fight. He hasn’t…
Any early predictions on who’s going to kill Euron? Theon’s “get kneed in the groin” move is of limited utility, so my bet would be Daario, as the only other character left in Essos. Daenerys left him in charge, but he probably got bored and went back to being a mercenary, and now he’s President & CEO of Golden…
It’s weird that despite having a cheap magical exposition device, the writer’s really haven’t taken advantage of it all. Instead, they’ve had all the characters simply ignore Bran, and Bran largely deciding not to tell anyone anything.
Bran’s power is whatever it needs to be at that moment in time. It’s a cheap magic plot device.
I’d love to discuss this show more, but I feel like it’s dropping the ball and not tying up storylines as satisfactorily as they were introduced to the narrative.
