I've been playing FFVIII for the past several days (my first time) and god damn it, it still has all the stuff I hated about ffvii - unskipable summons, cut scenes where you have to confirm every dialog box but with 0 input - and managed to add another annoyance: drawing magic.

I'm trying, I'm really really trying but I can't get myself in the mood. The original trilogy is a masterpiece we just don't know how to make anymore (see ST reboot, Transformers, Indiana Jones) and on top of that, we had the prequels that messed so much up when it comes to the mythos.
