The intent is well-meaning, but I have to say nah. Let the receiver be the first one, and let them experience the account setup and update patching process. It’s something they’ll have to get used to, and need to know how to navigate through the console’s menus. They’ll be fine dealing with all the nonsense.

Wow, I was joking the other week when I said that we’d next see an article that claimed FFXIII wasn’t that bad. Lmao

It’s a testament to how far portable gaming has come since the Tiger days, running around today on mobile phones and Switch Lites.

I’m a little more concerned that Jill looks like Keanu Reeves.

Avengers DOA: The Game.

If I was to cave and pick up a Xbox One, Forza would definitely be one of my big reasons to do it. I haven’t played any of the sequels though (yes, it’s been a loooooong time), but lately been wondering how the series has been doing.

Alien: Isolation. A game with so much classic Alien movie tension that I never made it to the end, but still walked out of it thinking it was an awesome game. It did its job TOO well. One day I’ll go back and finish it, though.

Yeah, the disc swap thing was a really bad loophole. That’s what happens when companies go with automation and remove the human element.

I’d actually be down for something like that. A third party middleman service of some sort. Keep the same Redbox rental model, but go digital instead, along with a lower fee. Eliminates the disc swap theft issues right there.

Ghetto.

Yeah, I think if there is an ideal solution out there somewhere waiting to be invented, it will not have any “buts” tied to it. We’ll see how this all unfolds in time, I suppose.

I guess if anything, having a disc-less option would reveal sales numbers on where it versus physical media stand at that point. Disc-less is coming for sure. It’s just a matter of when and how. The transition won’t be fast, since there are still concerns about long-term ownership without a disc. The first company

The move towards disc-less makes sense. Early in the PS4's life, I bought physical copies, and now when I come across them in my library it annoys the hell out of me. lol

Oh btw guys, check out this dude who restores old consoles and records the process. It’s awesome. Here’s the PS1 project:

A friend loaned me his PS along with Warhawk, Road Rash, and Battle Arena Toshinden. Me being a Nintendo and Sega freak, I was excited by the prospect of CD-based games. So I put in Warhawk, got to see my first ever loading screen, and for the first time got to utter the words, “What in the living fuck is this

PlayStation Plus secret bonus plan.

Next thing you know, we’ll be seeing a “FFXIII ain’t so bad” article.

Still better than 95% of games out there where the women strut around like dudebros, and the dudes have lousy swinging arm movements. In AAA titles, even. Been tired of that shit since the X360/PS3 days.

Lucasfilm: “Here is a list of light side powers that the Jedi can/cannot/shouldn’t use. Also, here is a dark side list for the Sith as well.”
